As a volunteer at Praise Foundation, you act as an ambassador to our organization.

Because of this important role we expect our volunteers to

1. Participate in orientation, training and ongoing development opportunities
2. Work within the boundaries of your volunteer position description while supporting the vision, mission and policies outlined by our organization
3. Act as an ambassador of Praise Foundation by taking ownership for actions and decisions made while volunteering.
4. Approach your volunteer assignment with a professional commitment
5. Engage in discussions with staff in order to express your comments, suggestions or concerns

Volunteer namerecognizes the importance of a work environment which actively promotes best practice. The purpose of this code is to describe standards of behaviour and conduct expected from workplace volunteers in dealing with clients, co-workers, management and general public.

Code Requirements

All employees/volunteers of Praise Foundation and its partners are expected to observe the highest standards of ethics, integrity and behaviour during the course of their term with Praise Foundation.

All representatives of Praise Foundation are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and courteous manner and observe the following standards of behaviour both inside the workplace and outside the workplace where the participant can be perceived as representing Praise Foundation

1. Comply with all laws, policies, procedures, rules, regulations and contracts
2. Comply with all lawful and reasonable directions from Praise Foundation and/or its partner organizations
3. Be honest and fair in dealing with clients, beneficiaries, co-workers, management and the general public
4. Display the appropriate image of professionalism at your workplace. Wear necessary safety equipment and work clothes such as  Formal wear is only allowed.
5. Treat clients, beneficiaries, co-workers, management and general public in a non-discriminatory manner with proper regard for their rights and dignity with kindness and compassion
6. Volunteers shall be accompanied at all times when interacting with beneficiary, client
7. Volunteers shall not be found alone with a minor at any time while volunteering
8. Volunteers shall not engage in making racial, sexual and other comments that might offend the NGO staff, beneficiaries or clients. When in doubt the volunteer should ask an NGO staff if their conduct is acceptable.
9. Information about work place, organization and its clients shall be handled in a confidential and secure manner. The information shall be utilized only for purposes intended and limited to those who need to know for the purposes of decision making.
10. No volunteer shall keep in touch with NGO beneficiaries, clients outside the volunteering role.
11. No volunteer shall add NGO beneficiaries, clients on Facebook or other social media sites and phone numbers are not to be exchanged.
12. No photographs/ selfies with beneficiaries, clients allowed. Photograph with the NGO staff, the NGO building, hoardings, etc. shall be at the discretion of the NGO
13. Any sensitive or confidential information shared by the beneficiaries, clients during interactions with volunteers shall remain confidential and secure and shared only on a need to know basis with decision makers within the organization
14. Volunteers shall be required to dress appropriate to the circumstance and environment in which the work is being performed. Importantly dress should be neither offensive nor hazardous.
15. Volunteer’s will be required to update on the tasks performed / work done per session. This is to ensure volunteers following them will be able to quickly catch up on roles / responsibilities.

Recommendations to Volunteers:

Praise Foundation strongly recommends that all donations to NGO’s go through us. We ensure 100% of donations apart from service tax of payment gateway on Praise Foundation website is used will reach NGO’s. This is to ensure that reports on Fund utilization will reach you on time in Professional format.

• Create an environment where there is open communication, a sense of teamwork and respect between volunteers and staff.
• Provide ongoing opportunities to learn and grow which includes opportunities to experience various positions while volunteering with our organization
• Recognizing you for your contributions and accomplishments in both formal and informal ways

Indemnification and release of liability:

I assume and accept All risks associated with or related to partaking in such an event. Praise Foundation does not hold any liability for any loss, damage, injury or expense that a participant or staff, vendors or other representatives or associates of may suffer or that their next of kin may suffer as a result of their participation in the event, due to any cause whatsoever.
